Malaysian Helicopter crashed: Six onboard along with Deputy Minister

Update: Search and rescue team recovered the body of a Malaysian Deputy Minister in Borneo Island after long search.

Today Eurocopter AS350 helicopter crashed near the Batang Lupar River, in the eastern part of the country.

Prime Minister of Malaysia, Najib Adul Razak has confirmed the crash that was carrying six people onboard along with Deputy Minister, and their status remind unknown as per the report.

And according to the Search and rescue team that was exercised on this operation believed to found debris of  crashed AS350 today near the Bantang Lupar River. Continued, saying that debris includes rotor blade, part of helicopter, door and seat.

The flight time was about 35 hours and 40 minutes, but it lost the contact and despaired within 20 minutes after it left Betong routed for Kunching at 4:12PM today.

Bad weather is suspected to be the primary reason for the irrevocable crash. Military were aslo deployed to support the local police and fire and rescue team on the search operation.

The Plantation Industries & Commodities Deputy Minister, Noriah Kasnon and her husband along with the ministry’s Secretary General were on board and were travelling for an official event.
