Nepal Airlines’ A320 ‘9N-AKW’ grounded following technical glitch

Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) Airbus A320 with registration ‘9N-AKW’ has been grounded at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), New Delhi due to a technical glitch. As per the information, the aircraft has witnessed a problem in its left windshield heating system.

The technical team are inspecting the aircraft and trying to solve the problem as soon as possible. Flight RA217 departed to IGIA, Delhi from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on June 6, 2018 as it encountered a technical problem at Delhi.

NAC on a statement said that they were trying to fix the problem soon and also apologized for the inconvenience caused to the passengers.

An engineer from NAC said that the aircraft is currently grounded at Delhi and required maintenance is going on.

At present, NAC is operating international flights with two Airbus A320s and one Boeing 757. The national flag carrier is waiting for the delivery of first Airbus A330 which will boost up the flight operation.
