Sixth Airbus A350 XWB for SAS landed in Copenhagen

SAS, Scandinavian Airlines, has taken delivery of the airline’s sixth Airbus A350. SAS Airbus A350-941 Registration SE-RSF arrived in Copenhagen today at 14:39 local time from Toulouse, according to flightradar24. Capt. Thomas Lunding, Fleet Chief Pilot, and Capt. Erik Bomberg commanded the two-hour flight in a brand-new aircraft.

SAS has chosen a three-class cabin configuration consisting of 40 business class seats, 32 SAS Plus seats, and 228 economy class seats dubbed “Go seats” with a total capacity of 300 people.

Hjalmar Viking is the sixth of eight A350-900 XWBs purchased by Nordic airlines to supplement their current fleet of Airbus widebody aircraft.

SAS is continuing to expand routes as demand for travel rises as part of its summer traffic program. SAS is restoring service from Denmark and Sweden to all locations in Italy, including Naples, Pisa, Olbia, and Bologna. Flights to Croatian locations such as Pula and Dubrovnik, as well as Portugal’s Lisbon, have also resumed. SAS is launching three new flights from Copenhagen to the Italian town of Bari, Greece’s Rhodes, and Montenegro’s Tivat.

SAS is also restarting service on the majority of Norway’s direct routes, including those connecting Oslo to Athens, Nice, and Reykjavik, as well as dozens of other Mediterranean destinations.
