New minister for MoCTCA appointed; plans to accelerate second international airport project

Rabindra Adhikari has been appointed as the new Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA). The newly appointed Tourism minister was appointed on Friday and took the oath of office and secrecy from President.

The newly appointed Minister said that the project of second international airport would be accelerated. On the day of his appointment, he said construction of the national pride project Nijgadh International Airport would get accelerated so as to increase tourism arrival of the country.

He said that the country’s main priority is the international airport project and the construction of the airport should be paced up. He also directed concerned authorities to act accordingly in the project.

Nepal is celebrating Visit Nepal Year-2020 with an aim to bring 20 lakh (2mill.) tourist in the country. He added that efforts would be made to form a secretariat within one month for preparations to celebrate the occasion. The main aim of the occasion will be to intensify promoting central tourism of India and China.
