Yeti Airlines to halt all flights for tomorrow

Yeti Airlines, the domestic airline company of Nepal is halting all flights for tomorrow following the demise of company’s Managing Director Ang Tshiring Sherpa on a tragic Air Dynasty helicopter crash at Taplejung yesterday.

The regular flights will resume from the next day (Saturday) as per the information from the airline official.

Air Dynasty Helicopter registered ‘9N-AMI’ flying to Taplejung for inspection of the possibility of construction of airport in Chuhandada, Terathum under the command of Capt. Pravakar K.C. carrying Honorable Minister Rabindra Adhikari, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA), Yeti Airlines’ MD Ang Tshiring Sherpa, CAAN Deputy Director Birendra Prasad Shrestha, CAAN Engineer Dhurba Bhochhibhaya, Army personnel Arjun Kumar Ghimire and PM close aide Yubaraj Dahal crashed near Pathivara region.

The dead bodies are being prepared to be brought to Teaching Hospital, Kathmandu. The weather has been suspected as the preliminary cause for the crash however, exact cause is yet to be discovered.
