Yeti Airlines was founded on 1st of May, 1998 with the company slogan “You Come First” celebrates the 19th Anniversary of service today. On 1998, Yeti Airlines had received its first Air Operation Certificate (AOC) and started the first service on the Domestic routes of Nepal which now has proved to be one of the largest domestic carriers of Nepal.
In the span of 19 years of service, Yeti Airlines has served passengers deliberately and consistently with good care and facilities.

The airline had initiated its first commercial operation with a newly made DHC-6 Twin Otters aircraft manufactured by De-Havilland Canada Viking Air having 19 seating capacity serving various domestic sectors of Nepal, 19 years back. The airline had operated more than 6 types of various kinds of aircraft till date since its establishment and has been serving many STOL routes of Nepal.
Jointly, Yeti Airlines with Tara Air (sister company of Yeti) have been serving as many as 29 destinations of Nepal across the country both with scheduled and non-scheduled flights operating 4 different types of aircraft among them, two are ATR 72-212A, six are BAe Jetstream 41, five are DHC-6-300 Twin Otter and two are Dornier DO-228. The company has also contrasted its own open hangar facility at Eastern Helipad, Tribhuvan International Airport for the maintenance of aircraft.
The company has also been awarded by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as the ISSA Operator in Nepal. The company is the market leader in rural destinations and mountain flights. Besides, the company has stood strong as a partner in transportation of local and foreign passengers, goods and transfer of tools, and equipment for development work in remote destination of the country. Along with this, the company has a strong foothold in services targeted at city airports.
