Yeti Airlines BAe Jetstream 41 Faces Bird Strike
The BAe Jetstream 41 of Yeti Airlines faces bird strike while running for takeoff on the runway of Pokhara Airport (VNPK) towards its destination Tribhuvan International Airport (VNKT). As soon as bird struck the engine of plane, it was stopped immediately and return to its parking gate for maintenance and analysis. It has been reported that 29 passengers were on board in the plane.
Recently, flight TG319 of Thai Airways B777-200ER from Bangkok to Kathmandu faced the bird strike in the sky of Kathmandu Valley without any severe damage to engine. The aircraft was landed safely and took off again to its destination Bangkok after about 6 hours.
According to the officials of Yeti Airlines at Pokhara, aircraft was stricken by bird in simple way without causing any severe damage to engine. Hope in upcoming days the skies of Nepal be more reliable and safer so that number of passengers traveling by air route increase everyday.
