Woman held with 38.9K USD in TIA

A Nepali woman was arrested with USD 38,950 and 600 Hong Kong Dollars from Tribhuvan International Airport yesterday. The woman was caught by the security persons during the security check at the airport.

The woman was traveling to Hong Kong by Nepal Airlines from Kathmandu carrying the illegal amount of foreign currency but was suspected by the security personals at the airport.

As been informed, she had hidden the bundle of the foreign currency in her suitcase.

The suspected woman has been identified as Pemala Lama of Nakhipot, Lalitpur with passport number 09987108.

She was arrested from the airport yesterday and currently is under police investigation.
