According to the authority’s information officer, Gyanendra Bhul, Wizz has requested an additional month. Bhul said that Wizz had previously evaluated the safety of Bhairahawa Airport, but the report had not yet arrived. He said, “We expect Wizz to be airborne in one month.”

Currently, only Jazeera Airlines is flying from Kuwait to Gautam Buddha International Airport. The authority has made mandatory arrangements for Nepal Airlines and Himalaya Airlines to operate international flights from Bhairahawa.
