A Banglasdeshi carrier US-Bangla Airlines Boeing 737-800 registered ‘S2-AJA’ made an emergency landing at Shah Amanat International Airport (CGP) today. The aircraft was flying to Cox’s Bazar Airport (CXB) from Dhaka Shahjalal International Airport (DAC) with flight identification number BS141.
The authorities claim that emergency landing had to be executed following a technical problem associated with landing gears experienced by the pilots.
The aircraft landed safely on the runway and fortunately there were no casualties and major injuries to passenger and crews.
The crew deserves appreciation for putting down the crippled aircraft safely exclaimed the passengers. The crew also helped preventing the situation from getting worse.
Bangladesh Air Force had responded very quickly in response to the emergency. They had deployed 109 Search & Rescue Unit responded within seconds with highest professionalism and dedication. They have been reported airborne within a minute of information.
This is an exemplary event of tackling the aviation emergency and responding to the urgency situation by the crew of aircraft and individuals on the ground
