US-Bangla Airlines has added two Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its fleet. With the addition of two Boeing, the number of US-Bangla Airlines aircraft now stands at 16, which is the highest among the private airlines in Bangladesh.
Two aircraft landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Friday (November 26).
In this regard, the general manager of US-Bangla Airlines, Kamrul Islam, said two Boeing 737-800 aircraft, the fifth and the sixth, landed at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Friday. Capt. Lutfar Rahman, Director (Business Development) of US-Bangla Airlines, officially received the two newly added aircraft.
He said the newly added aircraft were brought to Dhaka directly from Amman, Jordan. The two newly added Boeing 737-800 aircraft have 169 economy class seats each. With this, flights to Colombo, Sharjah, and Delhi will be operated as part of future plans.
Launched with the slogan ‘Fly Safe-Fly Fast,’ US-Bangla Airlines plans to add Airbus 330-200 / 300 aircraft in June next year.
The airline currently operates regular flights to Kolkata, Chennai, Male, Muscat, Doha, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Guangzhou, including all domestic routes.
Civil Aviation Authority and senior officials of US-Bangla Airlines were present when the two Boeing 737-800 aircraft were officially received at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
