As per the latest information, Makalu Air Cessna Grand Caravan which went missing is now reported to have crashed somewhere at Simikot pass however, the detail information of the exact crash site and casualties is yet to be received. The aircraft is said to be crashed into pieces with huge fire.
Mountain Helicopter AS350B3e ‘9N-ALD’ and Nepal Army AS350B3 ‘NA045’ are reported to be active for the rescue operation.
The previous news related to the forced landing of the aircraft near Bajura was a hoax.
A Cessna 208B Grand Caravan single-engine aircraft with call sign ‘9N-AJU’ was en-route to Simikot from Surkhet transporting cargo. There were just two crew members Captain Kiran Bhattrai and co-pilot Aditya Nepali in the plane. Further details yet to come.
