United Nations Boeing 767-300(ER) catches fire at TIA

A Boeing 767-300ER operated by Ethiopian Airlines under United Nations—carrying Nepalese’s Army for a UN mission catches a fire at TIA today morning.

According to the Highly Placed Source at TIA, the aircraft Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) was flame off and smoke was detected due to the short circuit in the aircraft.

Immediately after the incident the airport was closed and fire vehicles were dispatched to the site.

Currently, the airport came back to normal operation after 10 minutes, no any casualties or harm was noted in this incident.
