In the summer season, TUI UK, which flies to 4 Croatian airports, Dubrovnik, Split, Rijeka, and Pula, will not commence flights to its destinations this summer.
The airline grounded its entire fleet owing to the pandemic condition and scrapped several routes in its route including Croatian destinations.
It is also worth mentioning that there were one or two weekly flights on all routes, often carrying visitors on holiday to Croatia. The airlines has used a wide-body plane, often B787-8 or larger B787-9 plane, to Dubrovnik.
This year Dubrovnik Airport was suffered from many high-profile airlines canceling their routes there. American Airlines does not operate its regular flight between Dubrovnik and Philadelphia and Qatar Airways has delayed the completion of its service between Dubrovnik and Doha.
This represents a significant deficit for Croatia’s tourism industry, and it’s an adverse effect that the coastal Croatian airports that TUI used to serve.
