TU introduces Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering with the new session

Tribhuvan University (TU) has introduced Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering from the new educational session 2075/76. With the motive to facilitate young aviation enthusiasts for achieving aerospace engineering degree, TU has finally included the course which will be running solely by the its faculties.

Spokesperson of TU said that a total of 48 students for Aerospace Engineering will be selected via the computer based exam. The 4 years course will include theoretical studies along with industrial exposure. Previously, Nepali students were compelled to travel to countries like China, Philippine for the aerospace engineering course with the highly expensive cost. Keeping this in mind, TU has stepped forward to provide the same course here in home country thus, facilitating and encouraging the aviation enthusiasts from Nepal.

With the new session, four faculty member from TU will be running the aerospace engineering course however, the syllabus approval is yet to be made which is anticipated to happen soon.

Institute of Engineering (IOE), Pulchowk is also preparing to introduce Bachelor degree in Aeronautical Engineering in collaboration with Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), China but the final approval for starting the course is yet to be done.

As per the MoU, NUAA can offer short-term exchange program for IOE students for 1 or 2 semesters, likewise, TU in return can offer NUAA students to study summer program for 2 weeks in IOE however, no any degree from either side will be awarded. Besides, selected students from IOE, TU can continue their study at NUAA with Nanjing Government Scholarship or University Scholarship especially for Ministry of Education (MoE) approved Bachelors program including Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, International Business and Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
