Tourism Minister’s secret inspection at TIA

Jeeban Bahadur Shahi, the newly appointed Tourism Minister instructed the authorities to improve the standard of Tribhuvan International Airport during the ceremony of taking over of the new position. He had specially pointed out the ill restroom management system and luggage claiming system of the airport and instructed concerned authorities to make rectifications on them from the ceremony.
And three days after this, the Minister has secretly visited the airport for the inspections of the progress in his own private vehicle as a surprise inspection.
After he had walked around some of the major parts of airport he concluded that after his instructions some of the aspects of the airport was seen to be fixed in progressive way. He informed that restrooms, lobby and exteriors of the airport had been cleaned in rapid way and he further warned to continue the job progressively in the future too and not to stop it.
Minister Shahi expressed that, since the only international airport of the country is associated with the reputation and acts as a window of the nation, it is most essential to keep the airport clean, tidy and attractive. He told that the airport cleanliness and management of systems have been his dreams that can be easily fulfilled by rectifying only small portions of existing systems.
He also informed that the airport authorities should be active and stand by for their job at any instance that was not seen and he could get the fact analysis by an uninformed visit like he performed. He also added that every staff of the airport from the sweepers to the management levels should be loyal and dedicated at their job as well as the citizens using the airport should also show some civilization and discipline.
Minister Sahi requested all the citizens of nation to be responsible and assured that he won’t be barrier for any progressive works in aviation and would also not allow anyone to be the barrier in development. He told that he has been studying for the progress of the airport and working to start the campaign of standardization very soon.
He also claimed that he is dedicated for being popular with deeds than just fake publicity.
