According to Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), Tibet Airlines has failed to operate its schedule inauguration flight on the Chengdu-Kathmandu route. Tibet Airlines was approved for the scheduled flight plan from July 20 but due to some unclear circumstance, the airline failed to operate its schedule flight.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has granted approval to China’s Tibet Airlines to conduct four flights a day on the Chengdu-Kathmandu route, on July 15 this year.
Subhash Jha, deputy director at CAAN, released the information on Friday that the aviation authority approved the scheduled flight plan from July 20.
As per the information, Tibet Airlines will update CAAN on when they will be initiating their Chengdu-Kathmandu flight. Once the Tibet Airlines starts China-Nepal flights, it will be the fifth Chinese airline entering into the Nepali market.
According to Nepali government officials, increased flight connectivity with China is expected to bring more Chinese tourists to Nepal.
