Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu has issued Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) barring any inbound and outbound flights from using the airport for 45 minutes in view of the arrival of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The NOTAM has been issued from 1:15 PM to 2 PM today. Likewise, the NOTAM will be declared for 3 times on Saturday starting from 6AM morning to 6:30, 10:05 AM to 10:35 AM and 4PM to 4:30 PM.
Modi is arriving here for a two day state visit to Nepal starting from Friday. The only international airport will be closed down during the arrival of Indian Prime Minster which will halt all national and international flights to and from Tribhuvan International airport today and tomorrow.
Modi is arriving Nepal with the ATR 72-600 aircraft belonging to Air India with registration ‘VT-AIY’.
