TIA resumes it’s service after half an hour: Five aircraft diverted

After the extreme high gusty wind of afternoon, Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) has resumed it’s service. The wind was reported to be above 40 knots.

According to the spokesperson of TIA Mr. Bhola Guragain, one Jetstream-41 of Yeti airlines and one ATR of Buddha Air en route to Kathmandu from Chandragadi were diverted back to Biratnagar whereas Air Arabia A320-200 and Jet Airways B737-800 were diverted to Lucknow Airport. Also, one aircraft en route to Pokhara was diverted back to Kathmandu.
