Thompson Airways made emergency landing due to windscreen cracks

Thompson Airways Boeing 757 was enroute to Bristol Airport form Las Palmas yesterday but was compelled to plummet from FL350 to FL100 due to cracks in the windscreen.

The pilots conducted emergency landing at Porto Airport, Portugal and the passengers were advised to wait for another flight.

Passengers were told that the aircraft had encountered technical fault during the flight and the damage was only known after landing.

Earlier on Monday, a small plane crashed into a supermarket car park near Lisbon, Portugal resulting the death of five people. The aircraft carrying four people is expected to have exploded in mid-air and it came down near a Supermarket and hit an unloading lorry. The lorry drive
