The first Private International Airline: Himalaya Airlines commencing its flight from April 12, 2016.
The first Private International Airline of Nepal – Himalaya Airlines commencing its International flight from Nepal dated April 12 onwards. According to the General Manager of Himalaya Airlines Raju KC, “we have set a schedule route to India, Delhi on the morning time whereas for Qatar, Doha at night from Kathmandu, Nepal.”
“All the internal necessary procedure and documentation to operation international flight, we have reached the final point.” KC added.
He said, “The collaboration with China’s Airline Company Tibet Airlines, the first International flight from Nepal, we are preparing to initiate with Airbus A320 158-seat plane that is landing Nepal at afternoon time on Wednesday March 26. This Airline, to operation its International flight from Nepal is coming from the Tibet Airlines.
AS per the source, soon after operating their international flight with one aircraft, they have planned to add another A319. Thereafter extending their international route to Lasha, Chendu and Beijing China and within the three months of operation more two fleets is going to be added, making all together 4 fleets within 2017.
For the AOC process, Himalaya Airlines had leased an aircraft from Yeti Airlines and after the land of A320; they will go in process of fleet addition on their AOC.
The Himalaya Airlines is produced on the investment of HIF Aviation Investment Company, Nepal’s Yet world Investment Company and Tibet Airlines among all the major share holder bearing 51% of total share are by Yeti world investment and HIF Aviation Investment company and rest 49 by Tibet Airlines.
Until the day, NAC (Nepal Airlines Corporation) the flag carrier of Nepal is the only one Nepalese Airline operating direct flight from Kathmandu to Qatar and after the launch of Himalaya – it will be the second Private International Airline to share the same sky with NAC.
