The rate of air freight has decreased recently.
With Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) reducing the price of aviation turbine fuel by Rs 10 per litre for domestic airlines, Airlines Operators Association of Nepal reduces air ticket rate.
Earlier, NOC charged Rs 104.50 per litre to domestic airlines.
The association informed that the air ticket has decreased in 11 domestic destinations including mountain flight which will be applicable from January 13 on Sunday(Tomorrow).
According to the association, the domestic airlines have reduced the air freight from the minimum of Rs 90 to maximum of Rs 440. The lowest air freight decrement in air routes is from Kathmandu to Simara by Rs 90 whereas the highest decrement is from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi by Rs 440.
The distance between Kathmandu- Simara is shortest distance which takes 20 minutes to travel and it takes 1 hour and 15 minutes to travel Kathmandu-Dhangadhi air route as it is the longest distance.
According to new air freight, the air ticket cost NRs. 3120 for Kathmandu- Simara air route and NRs. 12,675 for Kathmandu-Dhangadhi flight.
Similarly, there is reduction of NRs. 345 in Mountain flight. The new air freight is NRs. 11,300. The Kathmandu-Bharatpur air route reduces NRs. 110 and NRs. 185 in Kathmandu- Tumlingtar air route.
The air passengers have to pay NRs. 3650 for Kathmandu-Bharatpur flight and NRs. 6000 for Kathmandu-Tumlingtar flight.
The air freight of Pokhara from Kathmandu decreases NRs. 155, Rs 240 from Kathmandu to Biratnagar, NRs. 130 from Kathmandu to Janakpur, NRs. 205 from Kathmandu to Bhairahwa, NRs. 325 from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, NRs. 300 from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur.
According to new air freight, the air ticket costs NRs. 5050 from Kathmandu to Pokhara, NRs. 7550 from Kathmandu to Biratnagar, NRs. 4300 from Kathmandu to Janakpur, NRs. 6200 from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa, NRs. 10,000 from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and NRs. 9100 from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur.
