Ten people, including three minors, were killed after a Piper PA-23 aircraft crashed into a residential area in Plaridel, Bulacan on Saturday.
The six-seater twin-engine light aircraft operated by Lite Air Express crashed minutes after taking off from the Plaridel Airport in Bulacan this morning, killing the pilot, his co-pilot and four passengers, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) confirmed.
As per the report, the plane and the house burst into flames and rescuers were not able to determine if the people in the house were killed or have managed to escape.
At around 5 p.m., the Plaridel police said they have retrieved 10 bodies from the site of the crash in Barangay Lumang Bayan.
The plane was carrying five people and other five casaulties are believed to the family members living in the house the plane crashed into.
“All aircraft operated by Lite Air Express are grounded pending the result of the investigation,” CAAP reported.
