National flag carrier, Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has planned to depart team to France for observation of A330-200 series Wide body aircraft. A330-200 aircraft is expected land at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Ashar, 2075.
Spokesperson of NAC Mr. Rabindra Shrestha said that the Ministry of Tourism, NAC board members and management team will visit to study about the entire structure manufacturing of A330-200 aircraft.
“We have already sent the proposal letter to visit AAR Corporation and after getting the positive response the team will go there” he added.
NAC has got the permission to conduct the official flight to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Osaka, Japan and Seoul, Korea. The corporation has planned to operate the scheduled flights three times a week in those countries but the flying time will be decided only after the arrival of the new aircraft.
NAC has invested around 24 billion to purchase two new aircraft. According to the agreement between NAC and AAR Corporation, Airbus A330-200 series will land at TIA on Ashar month of 2075. According to the first installment, NAC has sent Nrs. 8 billion to AAR Corporation and made agreement to take loan of 12/12billion from Government funds.
As per the source, Airbus A330-200 which will be the aircraft to conduct long haul flight for Nepal. Currently, NAC has two airbus (one is grounded at Delhi) and one Boeing aircraft which conducts international flight to Kuala Lumpur, New Delhi, Mumbai, Hong Kong, Dubai and Doha.
