Tara Air’s Twin Otter ‘9N-ABM’ encountered an incident at Simikot Airport today morning while it was preparing for take-off to Surkhet.
As per the preliminary information, the passengers and crew on board encountered injuries during the incident. Captain Basanta Lama and two police personnel on board are reported to have sustained head injuries. The treatment of the injured personnel is going on at SImikot hospital.
The cause of the incident is yet to be determined however; it is witnessed that the Twin Otter aircraft failed to take off from SImikot Airport resulting runway excursion.
