Tara Air Dornier DO-228 diverted to Chandragadi Airport due to adverse weather

The routine flight of Tara Air enroute from Kathmandu to Taplejung has been delayed and the aircraft, Dornier DO-228 of 9N-AKK registration, landed to Chandragadi Airport at 2:00 pm.
The aircraft was obligatory to reroute to Chandragadi Airport after the ATC officers informed the crew that the airport at Taplejung was closed due to dire weather condition.
There were six passengers along with three crew members onboard in the diverted aircraft which was commanded by Captain B R Niraula.
The passengers were dropped at Chandragadi Airport and lifted by bus to Taplejung which was arranged by the airlines while the aircraft returned to Kathmandu at 2:30 pm taking along six waiting passengers on their request due to festive rush.
This is the first landing of Dornier Do-228 at Chandragadhi Airport.
