Summit Air next to evacuate tourists from Lukla

A LET L410 aircraft of Summit Air with registration’9N-AKZ’ is next to withdraw passengers stranded at Lukla Airport tomorrow (March 28). Altogether 14 tourists stranded at Lukla airport due to lockdown will be evacuated by the carrier tomorrow.
The carrier has obtained special permission for flying Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu for once.
Tara Air has already made two shuttles to Lukla from Kathmandu, each yesterday and today. The next will be the Summit Air. Yeti Airlines and Buddha Air also have flew once to evacuate passengers stranded at Pokhara Airport.
Government has made a special provision of permitting special evacuation flight mission even in the period of lockdown. This has provided the privilege to carriers to withdraw foreigners stranded at different parts of the country due to lockdown.
