Summit Air commences Kathmandu-Taplejung-Kathmandu flights

Summit Air initiated scheduled flights to Taplejung as its Let L-410 aircraft took off to Taplejung from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) at 10:05 local time today. The airline is conducting its commercial flight operation from Kathmandu to Taplejung in collaboration with Arun Treks & Expeditions (P) Ltd being as a General Sales Agent (GSA)

The airline will be conducting one flight weekly to the Taplejung sector. The flights will be conducted after 9am from TIA. The flight is really valuable for the tourists who wish to visit Kanchenjunga Mountain and Pathivara Devi Temple.

The company has allocated Nrs.6200 for Kathmandu to Taplejung flights. Summit air is also in verge of connecting Pokhara with Jomsom very soon. Marketing Director at Summit Air Manjani Shrestha Dangol said, “At present we are only operating flights to our regular destination airport and will commence flight to Jomsom by spring of this year.”

Summit Air owns four LET-410 UVPE-20 aircraft in its fleet. Summit Air operates schedule flights and charter flights to Surkhet, Nepalgunj, Lukla, Phalpu, Rumjatar, Tumlingtar, Pokhara, Simikot, Jumla, and Bajura. It also conducts charter and cargo flights to Juphal Airport, Dolpa.
