Sugat Ratna Kansakar : Nepal Airlines Can Be World’s Leading Airline In Near Future
On recently held interview with New General Manager (GM) of NAC, Mr. Sugat Ratna Kansakar stated that he would transform Nepal Airlines into World Class Airline. For that supporters and well- wishers are essential which can contribute for the marching of the corporation on the path of prosperity and achievement.
NAC has aimed to introduce online ticketing service soon by the virtue of which people residing in villages or aboard can easily buy Nepal Airlines tickets. Despite the huge loss generated by Chinese aircraft MA-60 and Y-12e, NAC has intended to overcome the loss by not operating those aircraft. The high insurance premium and high maintenance cost for Chinese aircraft have pushed the corporation towards the darkness. Soon, the corporation will solve these kinds of problems said Mr. Sugat Ratna Kansakar .
When Mr.Sugat was serving as Executive Chairman at NAC, he had prepared a proposal regarding the sell of 51 % of government share of NAC to public. The same proposal was sent to Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation where it was approved but unfortunately when it got through Ministry of Finance (MOF) it got stuck there. At past, Mr. Sugat had tried different ways to lift NAC upto the world class airline but went in vain. This time he is quite sure of his success.
During the talk, Mr. Sugat also reported that before signing the deal with Lufthansa Consultancy, the aircraft must not be grounded but the grounding of aircraft of Nepal Airlines has become common. Currently the phasing out of two B757’s wont do any welfare to the corporation. The corporation has planned to wait until two more jets join the fleet.
