Starlux Airlines will operate 15 United States long-haul flights beginning in 2022. Taipei’s Starlux has applied 15 flight routes for the United States scheduled to operate in 2022. Starlux President Glenn Chai reported that Taipei CAA has been able to confirm the flight routes. The airline expects to launch these flights with Airbus A350s in June 2022.
The list contains Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, San Jose, Ontario, New York, Newark, Washington D.C, Houston, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Honolulu, Boston, and Guam.
The airline wanted to submit early for other CAA processes since the applications must be accepted before the flights begin. That way, preparations can start immediately once they are authorized, Chai said.
Starlux Airlines ordered 39 aircraft
The list continues with 13 Airbus A320neos, Eight Airbus 330-900neos, 10 Airbus A350-900s, and Eight A350-1000s. Although Starlux began operation with A321neos, more big bodies will appear in the next three years, when the carrier will deliver all A330s and A350s in the fourth quarter of 2021. A first-class seat will also incorporate the A350s.
