Spicejet DHD8 Crashed at Hubli Airport of India

A DeHavilland Dash 8-400 (DH8D) of SpiceJet, flight SG-1085J from Bangalore to Hubli with 78 passengers including the minister of information & communication on-board faced an accident when the plane landed on Hubli’s runway in rain. It has been reported that the plane veered off the runway and came to stop off the runway on soft ground with the left main gear collapsed. Fortunately, there were no injuries.

Minister of Information and Communication Roshan Beg said ” I was sitting on the front line of the plane and the pilot informed us that rain was falling heavily at Hubli’s airport. For about half an hour our plane was held in the sky. The landing was not so good and the whole plane was be-tumbling. I thought that everything is going to be over now. Luckily, we survived and thanked God.” It has been reported that the investigation team has been made and the investigation is going on.
