Southwest Airlines plans to add flights from Phoenix to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The carriers is introducing nonstop scheduled flights to Puerto Vallarta through Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Southwest is growing into different areas to cater to two needs: desired choices for its customers seeking snow or sunshine and wide-open environments to experience an escape from the unforeseen that 2020 helped to bring; and commercial industry that offsets the reduced need for travel in other sections of the world that is desperately required for their company.
Flights to Cancun, Los Cabos, Aruba, Montego Bay, Punta Cana, and Havana are now part of Southwest’s regional network. Regular flights between Phoenix to Los Cabos, Mexico, are also operated by Southwest.

Southwest Airlines to add service at Chicago and Houston
On Monday, Southwest Airlines confirmed that this expects to start flying from two large airports: Chicago O’Hare International Airport and George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. The budget carrier said during a press release during the first quarter of 2021, flights are scheduled to start for both airports. This would not be the first time George Bush Intercontinental has served by Southwest. The airport occupies a unique role in the history of the carrier.
Southwest, the country’s national fourth-biggest airline by sales, headquartered in Dallas, said it would reveal plans and pricing for the new service shortly.
Southwest served out the three airports, including George Bush Intercontinental, on the first day of service in 1971, eventually switching to Houston Hobby not long afterward. Between 1980 and 2005, Southwest served out from both airports.
