Soon Aircraft with the Speed Greater Than Sound Will Become Airborne.
Recently, NASA has paid 2 crore USD to Lockheed Martin Company for creating design of the aircraft that can travel with the speed greater than sound. It has been reported that the hypersonic aircraft will be used for the commercial flights instead of military purposes. Inorder to bring a new revolution in the aviation field, NASA has named this project as X-Planes. On the formal programme held at Arlington, Virginia, Administrator of NASA Mr. Charles Bolden pointed out that the creation of hypersonic aircraft is for the purpose of reducing the flight duration that will result in safer, economical and environmental friendly flight. One of the main challenges for the creation of such hypersonic aircraft is that the aircraft will produce very louder noise at the time of cruising which is known as Sonic Boom. Inorder to reduce sonic boom, NASA has been working on Low Boom technology.
