Simrik Air’s Kilo Foxtrot (9N-AKF) Suffers From Fire During Emergency Landing
Today, AS350B3 helicopter (9N-AKF) belonging to Simrik Air had flown to Sama village of Gorkha for the Drinking water and Sanitation Campaign.
Unfortunately, helicopter met with mishap. According to the eye witnesses, while helicopter was taking off from Sama village, it became unbalanced and at the time of emergency landing the tail section of helicopter hit the foreign object due to which helicopter caught the fire.
By the grace of god, Pilot In Command Capt. Surendra Poudel along with 4 passengers onboard the helicopter are safe. The mishap has caused the major damage to the aircraft. It has been reported that Manang Air helicopter has evacuated the passengers and crew to Kathmandu.
