Simrik Air performed a medical rescue flight

Today Simrik Air helicopters AS350B3e with registration 9N-AKD, 9N-ALP performed a medical rescue flight.

The helicopter with registration 9N-AKD carried this operation under the command of Capt. H. Gradjean to Kothe, Solukhumbu from Lukla airport this morning and successfully rescued two patients who were from Ukraine and Britain. The helicopter landed at Hams hospital, Kathmandu and then, returned to Lukla.

Another medical flight was done by helicopter 9N-ALP from Kathmandu – Katunje – Grande Hospital – TIA in command with Capt. Hareram Thapa.

According to Tribhuvan International Airport Office, there were three helicopters flying this morning.

Despite the government circulated the notice of nation lockdown, however as per CAAN circular, which was released yesterday states that there would not be any effect on medical rescue operations during nation lockdown.

It has been reported that hundreds of tourists traveling to the mountains before the lockdown are now stranded at different place of Nepal. Embassies of their respective countries are also taking initiative to bring them back to Kathmandu.
