Shree Airlines has received green signal to conduct flight to multiple popular international destinations from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation of Nepal. As per the reports, it has obtained approval for expanding its international flights to New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Bangalore in India and Dhaka in Bangladesh.
Shree Airlines, the domestic JET operator of Nepal anticipating the addition of new Turboprop fleet is going to welcome its latest addition of Q400 Dash 8 aircraft this weekend. The airline is expecting the arrival of one of its two Dash 8 aircraft this Friday or Saturday. The aircraft has already been in a ferry flight mission from Canada to Kathmandu.
The carrier operated successful test flight to Varanasi in India this Monday. After the approval from CAA Nepal, Shree Airlines will proceed to receive approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of the respective countries before conducting the test flights to the new destinations. It would be very fruitful for the carrier if it gets approved for the flight operation for the above mentioned international destinations as these cities of India and Bangladesh are the most popular cities for international passengers. All these sectors have a very high demand of air travel, presently.
The airline is going to create a record by introducing Dash 8 aircraft operation for the first time in Nepal. Only the international carrier U.S. Bangla used to operate Dash 8 aircraft in Dhaka-Kathmandu-Dhaka sector previously.
Buddha Air has also been conducting international flights to Varanasi and recently expended its service to Kolkata using its ATR-42 and ATR-72 aircraft.
