Saurya Airlines with its new management team is working on procuring three CRJ-700 aircraft. The airlines official stated Aviation Nepal that they have reached in final decision to buy 3 CRJ700 out of which one CRJ700 is likely to arrive on November 2018 while remaining may take some time.
Currently, the airline has been conducting schedule flights with its one CRJ200 ‘9N-AME’ aircraft whereas another one ‘9N-ALE’ has been grounded following technical problem. The official informed that the repair and maintenance of grounded aircraft has already started as some of the replacement parts have arrived where some are yet to arrive and will be back to operation before Dashain.
“At present, we are focusing in providing efficient air services to passengers with our two CRJ200 aircraft as the festive season is approaching near,” the official added.
Saurya Airlines resumed its operation on August 23, 2018, after a long gap. The company is operating to 5 destinations: Biratnagar, Nepalgunj, Bhairahawa, Bhadrapur, and Dhangadi.
Saurya was established in 2014 and had started its operations from 17th of November, 2014 through a 50-seater Bombardier CRJ200 to serve in the domestic routes to Dhangadi, Nepalgunj, Biratnagar and Bhadrapur becoming the second airline to commence domestic flight operation with jet aircraft.
