Saurya Airlines, Kathmandu-bound flight made an emergency landing at Biratnagar airport on Thursday after facing technical glitches in its Cabin Pressurization System. All Passengers including crew members on board the flight are Safe.
Highly Placed Source at the Airport said, the aircraft successfully landed at Biratnagar Airport within 5 to 6 minutes of taking off. The CRJ-200 ‘9N-AME’ aircraft that took off from Chandragadi, Jhapa, at 12:45 PM and landed at Biratnagar airport at around 12:50 PM after its cabin pressurization system was malfunctioned, said source.
The passengers were frightened following the sudden landing. Upon learning the news of emergency land of the plane, the airline authority immediately dispatched its Engineers towards Biratnagar from Kathmandu for the inspection of the aircraft, noted Source.
The passengers were still in Biratnagar and after the inspection of the aircraft it was airborne from Biratnagar Airport at around 05:00 PM (Local Time) after accomplishing the required maintenance by its technical team.
Cabin pressurization is a process in which conditioned air is pumped into the cabin of an aircraft or spacecraft, in order to create a safe and comfortable environment for passengers and crew flying at high altitudes.
