Resumption Of Meghauli Airport After 7 Years

19 April 2016 – Finally, Meghauli Airport has been brought back into operation after 7 years of being out of service.

On April 13, President of Chaudary Group (CG) Binod Chaudary along with some indian guests and foreign guest chartered Nepal Airlines DHC-6 Twinotter aircraft from Kathmandu to Meghauli, Chitwan leading to reopening of airport.

The reopening of airport has led to extreme happiness among the locals.

It has been reported that the frequency of chartered flights will increase due to the popularity of Meghauli Serai Resort. After the flight to Meghauli, visitor can reach to Meghauli serai resort within 15 mins drive. Meghauli Serai Resort is situated on the boundary of Chitwan National Park and has been source of attraction for tourists.

According to the CG Hotel and Resorts, regular passenger flight to Meghauli Airport will be operated soon. The airport has grassy landing strip.
