President Bhanadari reaches Xi’an China for diplomatic meet

Honorable President of Nepal Bidhya Devi Bhandari has reached to Xi’an, China by chartering the aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC).

President Bhandari went to Xi’an, the capital city of Shaanxi Province in the flight number RA001 at around 11 AM today.

With President Bhandari, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Chief Minister of State-3, Dormani Paudel also joined the China visit. President Bhandari is scheduled to visit China’s capital Beijing.

At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Nepali President Bidya Devi Bhandari will pay a state visit to China between April 24 and May 2, during which she will attend the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and the opening ceremony of the 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition.

Foreign Minister informed that President Bhandari will be participating in International Horticultural Conference, and the program to watch Nepalese stalls.

In the meantime, she will also address a joint meeting of business community from Nepal and China in Beijing.

The president will hold bilateral delegation-level talks with Chinese President Xi, which will be followed by a signing ceremony and she will also meet senior Chinese leaders.

As per the press release issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs Singha Durbar, Kathmandu President and the delegation will return home on 2 May 2019.

She will also visit Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet Autonomous Region of China, on her way back home. In both places, she will meet provincial leaders.
