President Bidya Devi Bhandari returns Nepal from China Visit

Honorable President Bidya Devi Bhandari has returned to Kathmandu from Lhasa Tibet, the autonomous region after completing her visit to China at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Though President Bhandari was scheduled to return Nepal on Thursday (tomorrow) but she returned Kathmandu today due to health problem.

She arrived Kathmandu at around 10:09 AM through Sichuan Airlines.

She was also welcomed by Nepalese Army with the cannon salute in the very specific room of the airport.

With President Bhandari, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Chief Minister of State-3, Dormani Paudel also joined the China visit.

Likewise, the bilateral talk between Nepal and China was held at the Great Hall of the People on Monday. The meeting followed a signing ceremony on various agreements between the two countries. Previously, President Bhandari went to Xi’an, the capital city of Shaanxi Province in the flight number RA001 at around 11 AM on 24 April, 2019.

The sky of Kathmandu was cleared during President Bidya Devi Bhandari schedule to return Nepal.

The aircraft which were scheduled to land at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), were forced to divert or hold in the sky for around an hour.

President Bhandari arrived Kathmandu at 10:09 AM from Tibet, the autonomous region.

China Air which took off from Chengdu before President’s flight returned back after not getting signal to land at TIA.

Similarly, Himalaya Air which took off from Doha of Qatar had returned to India.

Ethiopian Airlines operated from Mumbai also diverted for long time.

Previously, the takeoff and landing of the aircraft were halted for 40 minutes when President Bhandari was going to China.

Passengers have to face difficulties due to such activities at airport.

The concerned body has not given attention despite its rapid criticism.
