Poor Visibility: Imposed to hold few international flights today
16 April 2015 Kathmandu: Today, due to the thick fog, few international flights had to hold on sky, which were supposed to land at Tribhuvan International Airport at its schedule time.
Though the weather inside the Kathmandu valley seemed clear during the day, however the landing halt occurred as the weather outside the valley were covered with the thick fog.
As per the source: around one hour the international flights forced to make hold at Simara airspace.
The flights that suffered air hold due to the thick fog were: Qatar Airways QTR646 that was inbound from Doha, Jet Airways bound from Delhi, to Kathmandu and few others.
Eventually, the flights were landed at TIA, Kathmandu after weather turned flight friendly.
