Pokhara Regional Int’l Airport project expected to complete within timeframe

Minister of Federal Affairs and General Administration Lalbabu Pandit stated that Pokhara Regional International Airport would be completed within the predetermined deadline.

Minister Pandit said that the government is trying to complete the constructing project of Pokhara Airport as it is a national pride project during an inspection of the under construction airport. He also informed that both the federal and provincial governments are serious about construction of the airport. Construction work is in full swing.

Equipment for Pokhara regional international airport project have started arriving from Chinese border of Rasuwagadhi. 26 tippers and 2 water tankers have reached at the border, 14 tippers have crossed the Chinese border and have reached Ghattekhola of Rasuwa while rest of the tippers and tankers are in process to arrive soon stated custom representative of Chinese company CAMC engineering Dorje Tamang.

Along with them, other 40 vehicles have also arrived at Kerung border said Tamang and the process to bring them to Nepal has also begun. Chinese investor Exim bank have granted loan for initiating the constriction work and the airport project is due to be completed in July 2021. Total of 8% of work has already been completed said the airport project Chief Binesh Munkarmi.

Minister Pandit said that Pokhrelis are excited to have an international standard airport and have been waiting for the past four decades.

The construction of the airport has now paced up and every stakeholder now believes that the work will be completed in given time. Construction of Pokhara Regional International Airport has been believed to be important for the overall state No. 4 and national prosperity with Pokhara.Minister Pandit said Nijgadh airport is predicted be better than Tribhuvan International Airport.
