Pokhara – New Delhi Flight To Be Carried Out By Buddha Air
22 June, 2016 – Nation’s blooming domestic carrier Buddha Air has finally decided to conduct Pokhara – New Delhi flight by its current turboprop ATR72-500 aircraft. The flight shall begin only after the Pokhara International Airport comes into operation. ” Commencement of New Delhi flight isn’t possible from current Pokhara Domestic Airport ” asserted Buddha Air CEO Mr. Birendra Bahadur Basnet.
Buddha has intended to carry out daily 2-3 scheduled flights from Pokhara International Airport. Instead of ATR 42-320 and B1900D, it’s much safer to indulge ATR72 aircraft on this future route of Buddha Air. ATR72 can reach New Delhi from Pokhara within 1 hr 15 mins of flight.
According to CEO Basnet, Buddha has been renewing its International Flight License inorder to conduct New Delhi flight. Buddha is assured that Pokhara – New Delhi route will be profitable route for its upcoming involvement in International Flight Sector. Research shows that about 70% tourists out of total who comes Nepal often visit Pokhara. So, Buddha aims to launch New Delhi flight.
After the success of New Delhi flight by it’s Turboprop ATR72 aircraft, Buddha would add Jet engine aircraft into its fleet soon. Buddha is much more confident that there would be great contribution in the tourism industry once it commences flight on Pokhara – New Delhi Sector.
Currently, Buddha holds 70% of Nepal’s Domestic Aviation Market. Within the 18 years of service, Buddha has flown 78 lakhs passengers till now. Its fleet value is of about 600 crore NRS and at present three ATR72-500’s , three ATR 42-320 ‘s and two B1900D’s are in its fleet.
