Piper PA-32 crashes down to a busy road in Washington

Piper PA-32, a single-engine, small sized aircraft crashed through an electric pylon in Washington yesterday. The aircraft caught fire soon after crashing over the busy road in Mukilteo, Washington.

The aircraft had crashed down the Mukilteo roadway at 3:30 pm local time immediately after the takeoff, reported Federal Aviation Administration.

A power line was struck by the crashed aircraft resulting in widespread power outages and a traffic signal had ruptured a fuel cell causing a mid-air fuel spill and a vehicle fire, police reported in a statement.

Two individuals were reported to have minor injuries, one out of which was released after first aid treatment and the other was admitted to a local hospital, added the police.

The 30-year-old pilot from Oregon was reported safe with no any injuries.

The National Transportation and Safety Board are investigating the crash incident.
