A 79-year old pilot dramatically survived after his plane crashed into a tree as he cushioned the aircraft into a parking lot.
Cessna 172p aircraft crashed into a tree before 11.30am while attempting to land at Robertson Airport on Monday.
The pilot survived the crash with minor injuries and was sent to a local hospital nearby for the treatment. Aviation official said the small plane veered off course above an airport runway. CBS Connecticut reports the aircraft landed in a nearby parking lot.
The above footage released by the police shows the plane landing in low over the parking lot strike at the tree, spinning as the tree bend to the ground and has landed.
The reason behind the accident is still under investigation.
