Oman Air flight Grounded at TIA, Nepal.

Oman Air routine fight from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to its capital Muscat was grounded at TIA. The aircraft was grounded due to the problem on its Left engine.

According to TIA, Tuesday night, the Oman air flight after passengers boarding was ready to fly to Muscat but at the same time the crew on flight detected the problem on its left hand engine. Then, the flight was returned back to parking bay of TIA.

The flight engineer carried three hours inspection on plane at parking bay and conclude that its Left hand engine was completely malfunction. The flight was not able to takeoff at the same time. The passengers from the fight was declared Night-Stop at Kathmandu and taken back to Hotel.

According to Oman Air office at Kathmandu, another fight will be prepared and the passengers will be departure to Muscat till evening on Wednesday.

The flight will be grounded on TIA for a week and its left hand engine should be completely replaced, said the airport source.

The Oman Air Kathmandu-Muscat has its fourteen routine fights a week. According to the Kathmandu office Oman air , engine maintenance team has elected to return to this plane. The fight is grounded at parking bay 8 of Tribhuvan International Airport.
