NOC slashes prices of ATF price

Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has slashed the cost of Aviation Turbine Fuel for international airlines by US $75 per kilo liter.

A meeting of NOC held on Monday decided to reduce the price of air-fuel and has published Press Release regarding decrease in fuel price.

The new price schedule came into effect from Wednesday Mid-night (April 24) stated oil corporation official. After reducing the fuel price, air-fuel price is set to be USD 1050 per kilo liter.

Earlier, international airlines used to pay USD 1125 per kiloliter.

According to the program of 2075/76 year, NOC has planned to construct liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) Bottling Point and modern petrol pumps in each state.

NOC is preparing to add fuel bowser for Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in the aim of reducing waiting time for refueling.

As per the information, the corporation has already initiated processes for the procurement of refuelers. NOC has announced global tender (1st phase) for procuring 4 fuel bowsers with 27 kiloliter capacity. The proposals from the different company are being received, informed an official from NOC. It would take a maximum of 10 months for the 4 fuel bowser to arrive TIA.

One fuel bowser of 27 kiloliter capacity costs around NRs. 4 crore.

Similarly, Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has also started work of constructing 10 thousand kiloliter aviation fuel storage plant at the airport. Currently, the airport only has capacity to hold 55 kiloliter aviation fuel which will only hold enough fuel for a day if international flights are conducted.
