Nine Airports of Nepal featured with Aircraft Refueling System

Out of the 44 Airports of Nepal including Tribhuvan International Airport nine airports operates the distributions of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) service in Nepal. Recently Chandragadi Domestic Airport Jhapa has expanded its facility for the distribution of ATF fuel with the back support of Nepal Oil Corporation, Jhapa to the aircraft landing at the airport by mobilizing a fuel tanker vehicle.
The domestic airline operators of Nepal are demanding the expansion of the refueling system to the entire domestic airports of Nepal. As per the demand of the domestic airline operators Nepal Oil Corporation are gradually increases the plans to establish the fueling system to other domestic airport as soon be featured with this service, said Mr.Pradeep Yadav chief of Tribhuvan Airport fuel depot.
Excluding the Tribhuvan International Airport; Bhadrapur, Biratnagar, Bhairahawa, Pokhara, Nepalgunj and Dhangadhi, Surkhet, Ramechap airport fuel has the aviation turbine fuel (ATF) fueling services. Some of these airports have also a fuel storage facility at the airport, but in some of the airports the fuel used are to be supplied daily as per the need.
According to Yadav, the NOC has targeted to establish the fueling service feature on Simara, Janakpur, Phaplu, Jumla and Bharatpur withing the coming year.
