Newly formed association of Helicopter companies of Nepal ‘Helicopter society of Nepal and Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) have held a meeting. The association and the CAAN had a joint meeting in which they discussed the air safety in Nepali sky.
According to the information office of CAAN Trilocha Poudel, in the meeting, the association and CAAN officials discussed the present status and about air safety procedure. The society stated about their establishment and discussed about their need for establishment and its activities stated Mr. Poudel.
The association also informed to manage the helipad at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to CAAN and has requested to remove old planes near the helipad. They also stated about other problems faced by the helicopter companies for their management and business. They have also urged to resolve the issues and have stated to cooperatively work with the authority in near future.
Helicopter operators established their own association after having themselves separated themselves from Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN) to form new association ‘Helicopter Society of Nepal’ following lack of initiation from AOAN to resolve fake rescue case.
